I first commenced my role at Makwana & Patel Dentiques Ltd as a Receptionist in January 2005. I have always worked in Customer focus and Administration roles which I really enjoy!

I was promoted to Practice Manager in 2007 and the role is ever changing with great development for me and the team. I have an active role in the financial part of the business. I have completed PTLLS qualification (Preparing to teach in long-life learning sector) and various other communication and customer service courses fulfilled.

Away from the Practice, I have been married to Dave for 30 years and have two children, Jack 24 and Alice 19. I enjoy walking, reading and visiting Portugal every year where I spent time with my parents. Also travelling is of great interest.

I love the challenge that this company offers and the various initiatives which are in place and always work to high professional standards. The team is great and we are all growing and developing at every opportunity which is offered. The future is bright.

I am a Lincolnshire yellow belly through and through having been born and lived in Lincolnshire for the majority of my life.

I qualified from Birmingham University with a degree in dentistry in 1988 having wanted to become a dentist from the age of thirteen.

I worked in two practices, one in Lincoln and one in Grimsby before starting my own practice in 1999 in Lincoln. I ran and worked in this practice, CVDP for thirteen years before selling it to the present owners in 2012. I have continued to work in the same practice since then.

I really enjoy my work and take considerable satisfaction in providing high quality family dental care. I take much pleasure in treating several generations of the same family and having practiced locally for many years I now treat the children of patients I first saw as young children themselves. Having practiced in the same place for some considerable time I have established great familiarity with my patients and my patients with me and this is advantageous to all.

In addition to working in general dental practice I have also worked as a clinical assistant at Lincoln hospital in the orthodontic department for 12 years and really enjoy providing orthodontic treatment (straightening teeth) for patients at the practice as well as providing cosmetic treatment including white fillings, crowns, bridges and tooth whitening.

On a personal note I am married and have four children-all boys! which occupy much of my time outside of dentistry so never a dull moment at work or home. I wouldn't have it any other way!
